The New Wave Rave 2007 tour is stopping at Canal Room in NYC tonight. The Cured and Blasphemous Rumours are the cover bands so come on Eileen, grab your black eyeliner and it’ll be just like heaven.
The best action and adventure sports images are traveling on display in limited outdoor venues and this week you can catch Red Bull Illume at the Huntington Beach Pier. The photographs are displayed and backlit in glass and metal cubes and honor the top 50 photos out of thousands of submissions.
Food and Wine magazine’s 25th Classic in Aspen is here. Each June they gather 5,000 foodies for cooking demonstrations, food samplings and wine tastings. Or is that food demos and cooking with wine? Either way, this is the best of the best with celebrity chefs Jacques Pepin, Mario Batali, Bobby Flay, Giada De Laurentiis and more. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Food and Wine is launching Grow for Good with hopes of raising $1 million for Farm to Table, a national initiative for sustainable agriculture.
The Hiller Aviation Museum is hosting their 8th Vertical Challenge Helicopter Air Show today in San Carlos, CA. This event is for all things chopper. It’s not too difficult to get kids excited about helicopters anyway but Otto the Clown Helicopter will really get them going.
Today is the last day of Robogames , the world’s largest open robot competition, in the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason, in San Francisco. No matter what your favorite bot sport is, be sure to come for the 12th annual FIRA World Cup.
