Raise your hand if you want to vote.

May 4, 2007

As a good democratic citizen, Renkoo loves giving our users a voice.

Whether it’s on a friend’s profile, a favorite place, or chatting within an invite, we want you to be heard. Now hosts can add date and time voting options to their events. Adding voting options is easy:

  1. Go to New Invite
  2. In the Where section, select a date and time
  3. Click the “add another date and time” link to add a voting option

Here’s what the host of the event will see when adding voting options:

And here’s what guests will see on their invitation:

Voting on an invite

When you send the invite, guests will be notified the event time and date is TBD by voting. To prevent ballot stuffing, gerrymandering, coup d’État, etc, each guest is limited to one vote. To finalize your date and time:

  1. Edit your invite
  2. Click the “choose this option” link for the desired date and time
  3. Update the invite (hint: if all event details are finalized check the “It’s a plan!” box too)

Your guests will be notified of changes including the finalized details. And you, gentle host, can sit back and revel in the glory of an event created by the people and for the people. Ahhhh.
