Year of the Boar

March 4, 2007

I had lunch at P.F. Chang’s, and they were handing out Chinese New Year information cards that talk about 2007’s Chinese New Year (February 18 to March 4).

According to the placard, Chinese New Year was first celebrated 4600 years ago when Emperor Huang Yi introduced the first cycle of the Chinese zodiac. In addition,

The Year of the Boar symbolizes goodwill and abundance, which is perfect for getting together with family and friends. This will be a great year for socializing!

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves. So Gung Hay Fat Choy (“We wish you prosperity and wealth”), and let’s plan some socializing with Renkoo!

Happy Chinese New Year!
