From SL to Cheese School, from Skyspace to Skates and Grammy’s besides!

Wednesday is the New Thursday
Fun things to make plans to do this week…
Always wanted to get into Second Life but need a concrete project? How about customizing a Scion xB in-game, and then driving off into Scion City?
Join the “Cheese Guy” (Raymond Hook) at the Cheese School in San Francisco for some cheddarcation on pairing ports with artisan cheeses. Jill Giacomini of Pt. Reyes Farmstead Cheese joins the fun this evening.
James Turrell’s Skyspaces bring art and nature together and are best seen with multiple visits. There are 36 Skyspaces in the world and 9 of the 20 in the U.S. are open to the public. Choose a location near you and start your own Skyspace club.
Take your traditional winter activity to the next level and go ice skating at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Try to look at the ice every once in awhile even though the sculptures are a beautiful sight. When you’re done, soothe your bruises with hot cocoa or wine at the Pavilion Cafe.
Go beyond the usual office pool and host a Grammy party at your house for your workmates instead. Burn cds with nominees for an invite, put up a velvet rope by the front door and use the pool money to buy actual concert tickets instead of the usual cash prize.
For bonus points, make up your own Grammy drinking game! For example, whenever someone uses the word “legend”, you do a shot… or if one of you can duplicate Justin Timberlake’s dance moves for a minute, everyone else has to do a shot! Be creative with it, and the hours will just fly by!
